Do you offer telehealth?
What are your office hours?
My hours vary by season of the year and day of the week. I offer scheduling times four days a week, and I try to have a day or two a week with early morning or late afternoon hours to help accommodate your busy schedule, too! My current availability is always visible in my client portal, where you can request appointments.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you cannot attend a session, please cancel at least 24 hours beforehand to avoid the full session fee charge for late cancellations and no-shows.
How long are the sessions?
When you book with me, you can choose a 45- or 60-minute session, depending on your availability and needs.
What age ranges do you work with?
I work with individuals ages ten and up! For clients aged 12 and under, the first session is with the parent or guardian only. This session allows parents to discuss their child’s concerns and therapeutic goals openly.
What can I expect in the first session?
Our first session is a -hour Initial Assessment. During this session, we dig deep into your life story. I want to know it all from the beginning! Health history, past experiences with therapy (if any), social/emotional history, family dynamics, upbringing, etc. We lay it all out there!
Having this level of information about you helps me to understand your perceptions and viewpoints. We usually end by agreeing on a couple of therapeutic goals to work toward.
How many sessions will I need?
How do you work with adolescents AND their parents?
Great question! Parents, I want you to know practical coping strategies or skills we may be working on to ensure that you are better able to support your teen through this process. I need to know your goals or concerns for your child so we can use our time effectively. However, I ask that you give us privacy so that the therapeutic process can unfold safely and trustfully.
As we explore their challenges and needs, most adolescents will open up more to parents.
Are you a Christian counselor?
Can therapy be fun?
Yep! I love bringing humor into our conversations. Laughing AND crying happen frequently with me. I seek to earn your trust.
If you allow yourself to be vulnerable, we will do some good work to make a massive difference in your life.
