Kristen has worked tirelessly to get to this point in her career. She has high expectations for herself as a mother and a corporate ladder climber. Not only does she care for her own children, but now her parents need her to care for them as well. Everyone else’s needs come first, and sacrificing herself has left her feeling exhausted, spread thin, and completely overwhelmed.
Thomas seemingly has it all: a successful career, a happy family, and a lovely house at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. Yet, something is wrong. He feels under appreciated by everyone but the dog. He and his wife are growing apart by the day, his kids treat him like an ATM, and his job feels like a dead end. He wonders when he’ll get to appreciate everything he’s worked for.
Sophia should be enjoying the best time of her life: high school. She earns good grades, plays soccer, has a lead role in the school play, is the school newspaper editor, and has a large group of friends. And yet, she’s never felt more alone. She struggles to find the energy to complete any of her responsibilities. The weight of her future weighs on her constantly, and lately, she’s been having panic attacks at school.
“You’ll know you’re practicing real self-care when it feels like
your outsides are matching your insides.”
– Pooja Lakshmin
Kristen
Kristen wants to create space in her day to feel more in control, but life seems to be working against her. The constant uphill battle is wearing on her. She’s tried hard to make a change, but nothing seems to last.
Setting healthy boundaries creates a pause to help Kristen find her true north.
Thomas
Thomas decides it’s time for a change. Walking away from the career he’s built sounds arduous, but the alternative is worse. He doesn’t know how to move forward in his relationship or feel more secure. Isolation weighs on him. He wants to tell someone how he’s feeling, but guys don’t confide in their friends like that. He no longer knows what he wants.
Thomas reaches out for help, this time from someone other than his friends.
Sophia
Sophia wonders how she’ll ever meet all the daily demands put on her, both by other people and by herself. She is scared, lonely, and depressed. Just making it to school each day is a challenge. Every decision she makes feels like it will have a monumental impact on her future, and she’s paralyzed by indecision.
Sophia’s parents know she needs help and somewhere to turn.

I have a variety of methods to help you find the strength
inside to become who you want.
Hi, I’m Katie.
I’m here to help you achieve understanding and transformation by looking at the old patterns and influences that have kept you from living the life you want.
I help people find their True North – the guiding force that leads them on the path to becoming the best person they can be.
It’s time to start living authentically, in alignment with your morals, values, beliefs, and aspirations. Find your purpose and gain clarity to prioritize what’s most important to you.
The happiness and fulfillment you deserve are not up for negotiation.
My approach is supportive and empathetic. I prioritize not just hearing your stories, but actively assisting you in creating a path forward. This process takes time, and getting unstuck takes work, but it’s worth doing with someone who has helped others in the same boat. Don’t go at it alone. Worthwhile change is worth the investment.

Kristen, Thomas, and Sophia
all need help finding their True North.
Kristen came to me with very little hope left. In our sessions, we explored her lifestyle, career path, and family system patterns and realized that she could begin moving in a more hopeful direction with just a few minor changes. We discussed her career aspirations and challenges in managing her family’s schedules and found ways to take better care of herself without feeling guilty.
Thomas was at the end of his rope when he made an appointment with me. In the process of talking about career change, he realized that much of his apprehension comes from a lack of support in his marriage. In our time together, he gained clarity on his values, freed himself from self-imposed expectations, and got a new job that allowed him to focus on the things that matter most to him.
Sophia was struggling when her parents made an appointment with me. In therapy, Sophia was able to open up about her loneliness and immediately felt more validated. Together, we helped her develop new skills to cope with stress and balance and prioritize responsibilities in a way that felt more manageable. Now, she’s gained insight into her own strength and wisdom and is excited for the future.
Change is difficult, but not changing is the road to nowhere.
